VR & AR in STEM Careers

VR, Virtual Reality, AR, Augmented Reality and MR Mixed Reality are in demand careers skills. VR is said to be the next revolution in education. It is predicted that VR will have more impact than the smartphone. This seems ambitious but we can’t think of any STEM career field that will not be impacted by VR and AR. From medicine, education, research, architecture, military, emergency services, travel and entertainment, these digital tools enhance the user experience.

In VR and AR in STEM Careers girls will build their VR or AR project and explore these immersive tools in STEM career fields and Wearables. How will VR and AR drive innovation connecting the physical and digital worlds.

That is the future in STEM career fields like the healthcare industry, construction, architecture, retail, military, automotive and hardware servicing. All of these industries benefit from immersive, digital experiences that mirror the real world. Of course, that means developers like you will need to create the experiences and environments necessary for this to happen. Projects will be part of the Friday Showcase.

Value Add: Student license for 1 year to continue project in Unity.

Let’s be eco scientists and discover, explore and experiment in the eco challenges that impact us locally and globally.

Are we living green? We all use water, create trash, create waste and pollution. How about clean water? What is your water footprint and carbon footprint? Plastics in the ocean are so harmful to the environment, birds, sea life and us. How can we alter the lifecycle of plastics?

Girls will explore topics on improving energy conservation, improved water quality and efficiency, reduced waste production and improved recycling programs, as well as learn about key relationships between dynamic environmental, energy, and human systems.
