What natural resource is more precious that oil? Yep, water. Water is more precious than oil, especially in areas where there are no rivers or lakes and very low annual rainfall. According to Water.org 1 in 9 people do not have access to safe water.

In our new normal we are all asked to wash our hands for a minimum of 20 seconds to remove germs and contaminants. What if your home did not have access to running water?

Did you know that the average flow rate of a kitchen faucet is 2.2 gallons of water per minute? The average shower uses 17.2 gallons in 8.2 minutes. How long was you shower today?

What Do We Mean by Water Footprint?

Your water footprint is how much water you use each day. This includes drinking, cooking, the food you eat, making the clothes you wear, generating electricity to charge devices and more.

How is water connected to food, energy and items in your home? It takes water to grow crops or food and produce energy. It takes a lot of energy to treat and move water. It also takes a lot of water to manufacture household goods like plastic, textiles and metals.
